The New York State Education Reopening Guidelines state:
"If a school district is in session, remotely or otherwise, pupil transportation must be provided to students in religious and independent schools. Religious and independent school students eligible for transportation, to the extent required by law, cannot be denied transportation."
“Districts will continue to provide transportation to homeless students, students in foster care, those who attend religious, independent or charter schools – and those with disabilities – just as they always have.”
“Parents who may have missed the due date to request out of district transportation due to a reasonable excuse may file a 310 appeal with the Commissioner of Education.”
“Transportation must be provided up to a limit of 15 miles.”
