Sue has enjoyed over twenty years of teaching in both public and private K-12 schools and colleges. She also has years of experience in corporate software engineering and is an international award-winning leader in STEM Education as a successful educational business owner, classroom teacher, and national conference speaker. In addition, Sue continues to provide both district and national-level, professional development in Literacy, Interactive SmartBoard Training, and STEM Education and is also an invited presenter for elementary schools, educational organizations, and BOCES.
When it comes to classroom teaching, Sue is most passionate about building on the culture of curiosity and the risk-taking mindset of young children – teaching first grade is definitely Sue’s calling! Also, the highlight of teaching at NCA is the precious time she has with sharing each day’s Bible lessons with her students. Building both the spiritual lives and academic skills of her young learners is truly a blessing and privilege for Sue.
Sue’s favorite way to unwind is to have fun with “going all out” with decorating for the different seasons and holidays along with inviting friends and family for an evening of delectable hors d’oeuvres and “catching up with one another!” Sue has also enjoyed years of ballroom dancing (and competing!) with her husband of 35+ years. Trying out a new recipes, cozying up to a good movie, or a fun game night with the rest of her family are also on Sue’s list of favorite things to do!
