Ryan attended Northstar Christian Academy Kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating in 1998. He traveled for two years with Encounter Revival Ministries in Pennsylvania before returning to Rochester to pursue his technology and ministry degrees. Ryan taught computers and technology at NCA for 5 years before taking a job with Monroe County Information Services, working as a full-time programmer for 12 years. During that time Ryan also worked part-time as a youth director at Fairport Baptist Church and assistant youth pastor at First Bible Baptist Church. Additionally, Ryan has coached boys baseball at NCA for 18 years. Ryan took over as NCA’s Director of Admissions and then Head of School in 2019.

Ryan has been married since 2009 to his wife Janae, who taught at NCA for 4 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Together they raise 3 children: Gianna (Northstar class of 2031), and twins Nolan and Olivia (Northstar class of 2036). Ryan and Janae attend First Bible Baptist Church. Ryan enjoys baseball (Go Yankees!) and football (Go Bills!) and is a technology nerd.
